Welcome to North London Action for the Homeless
We run a drop-in centre for homeless people and for those in needy circumstances.
Twice a week, (Monday lunch: 12.00pm - 1.30pm, and Wednesday supper: 7.00pm -8.30pm),
we provide a free cooked three-course vegetarian meal consisting of thick soup, bread and butter, main course,
dessert and tea or coffee. Our visitors sit at six-seater tables which are laid with table-cloths, napkins, cutlery
and crockery. The meals are served at the tables by our volunteers.
We provide take-away food and clothing upon request.
At both meal sessions our Welfare Rights Adviser provides free advice concerning welfare benefits, housing, disability payments, etc. We are visited periodically by a Health Access Worker. We run literacy classes, music sessions and outings to theatre etc. as part of our life skills programme.
Please contact us if you would like to volunteer to help for an hour or two, weekly or occasionally.

We are very grateful to Growing Communities, the organic fruit and vegetables scheme based in Stoke Newington who generously provide weekly donations of fresh fruit and vegetables. We are also extremely grateful to The Spence Bakery at Church Street Stoke Newington, for donations of delicious breads, rolls and pastries. Fresh and Wild of 32 Stoke Newington Church Street, N16, give greengroceries. Once a month, the Walthamstow Sai Group provides a full Indian meal for all our visitors.
We also depend upon personal and charitable donations so if you are able to help financially then please contact
