Changes to our services due to coronavirus

Unfortunately due to the coronavirus situation we have had to make the hard decision, after discussions with St Paul’s and the board of trustees, to reduce the services we provide at NLAH starting on Monday 16th March. We have a high proportion of our guests that are vulnerable and at risk to coronavirus particularly those in advanced years and with existing health problems. Niall (the Rector of St Paul’s) has also suspended all services using the church hall apart from a few crucial services like ours but on a reduced scale.

We will be running a take-away service only, with just staff members on site preparing and distributing the food outside the hall with the following amended times, Monday 12-1pm and Wednesday 7-8pm. This will mean we won’t be offering yoga, haircuts, showers etc for the time being and no volunteers are required for these sessions.

We’ve been in touch with other homeless charities and are planning to hand out updated information to our guests about other drop-ins they can visit in the meantime.

The current plan is to review the situation at Easter so we will obviously keep in touch and let you know the plan going forward. Therefore, all sessions until Wednesday 15th April will be cancelled on SignUp for the time being.
